London Road/Kendrick Road incident - Reading Police in Reading have launched a murder investigating following an incident in the town earlier this evening (28/2). Officers were called to the junction of London Road and Kendrick Road shortly after 8pm following reports that a car collided with a tree. A murder investigation has been launched and the area has been sealed off. Motorists are being urged to avoid the area and find alternative routes. The death is not believed to have been caused by the collision and that is why officers are treating it as murder. Although the investigation has only just started, at this early stage officers do not believe the victim, who is a man believed to be in his mid 30s, has been shot. Although this will not be confirmed until a post mortem has been carried out. Also, contrary to media reports, officers do not at this stage believe the man was fatally injured while driving. Note to editors: No further information on this incident will be available tonight.

Murder in Kendrick RD...

The evening was as usual . i returned late from the office and was really rushing to My Latin classes. I passed the Kendrick road around 8 pm and returned back around 9:15 pm.

suddenly i saw too many police man and the shocked to see that the road was blocked. I enquired the police man he informed me that there was a crash... waited for a while whilst asked another ploice men he asked me from which newspaper am i from... i was wondering what he is asking... then he didnt leave any info and i took the parallel road and took the alley way. Then i was near to the ABBEY school and i saw two police man passing by. they called me to enquire what my name , my age my address from where im coming ...i gave him all the info and went home. i came to know that whole rd is blocked then. Then i saw in the news that man has been found dead and ploice are investigating as it didnt seem like accident. Thames valley police are still investigating it today .... and rd is blocked....

I have managed to take a snap just infront the rd but nothing much i can cover...
